Sigma Learning's overall goal is to provide Delphi with an integrated, global education and training system for Delphi's salaried employees.

Sigma Learning's services eliminate redundancy in the training process, focus training efforts on Delphi's strategic objectives, and ensure that training efforts result in performance improvement.

Sigma Learning's education and training services are available to all Delphi divisions, facilities, and task teams.

Sigma Learning can:

Develop and implement training needs assessments
Make recommendations for cost effective learning solutions
Provide instructional design services for technical or non-technical training
Provide instructors to deliver Delphi-owned training
Maintain training records and evaluate training results
Assist in the rollout of common processes
Assist in the sourcing of specialized training
Manage vendor contracts and process payments
Coordinate/schedule large-scale training programs or events

Delphi and Sigma Learning have a master agreement that allows Delphi to access training and education services on a "pull" basis. These services include:

Guidance and consulting on training-related issues
Development and delivery of training to support Delphi competencies
Maintenance of a Delphi course catalog
Establishment of common training standards
Provision of degree-related programs (OSEP)
Provision of web-based Training Delivery System
Development of e-learning training content
Conversion of instructor-led training to e-learning
Administration and evaluation of Delphi training
Sourcing and coordination of specialized programs

The courses contained in the Delphi catalog support the Personal Business Plan Process and are linked to Delphi Excellence Competencies. The catalog can be used as a tool for identifying training resources available to improve personal skills.
